Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone, a senior police officer with the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service, has been suspended by the Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir, effective immediately. This action, taken under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, is due to an ongoing inquiry into his conduct. During the suspension period, Lone will be attached to the Police Headquarters, J&K. The order was issued by Chandraker Bharti, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government.
